The Seventh Earth Connection:

The Iron Mountain continues the thematic thread to the albums. 'Pteranodon' laid a ground for this with a general backdrop of pre-history with a bit of mythology. Anaxagoras began to focus on ancient Greece, early philosophy and science and celestial bodies, which is where the sequence of the albums begins to overlay onto pre-historic continent movement and the themes of Earth formation - the Mediterranean being the 'tear' in the early African rock plate. The Iron Mountain continues in a more physical and tangeable way this theme of celestial bodies and meteorites, especially the subject of large impacts on the Earth ( see: Luna ). The territory of each subsequent piece of work focuses on areas of the oldest Earth's crust which were once joined and part of the same original rock shield, i.e. Greenland and Northern Africa - which I have re-structured differently to the conventional plate-tectonic model. The albums develop along this theme of musically and thematically linking the pattern of my revised continent breakup and earthquake paths.
